Boris Redin has been a key driver of local volunteer action in Kharkiv since 2014, starting with the "All for Victory" tent in Svobody Sq. now a key pickup hub for the military.
He oversees 13 camouflage net weaving centres around the city; initially funded from his own pocket, they now depend entirely on increasingly dwindling donations. Crafted from weather-resistant, silent spun bond polypropylene matched to seasonal hues, each net represents endless hours of volunteer labour — including mothers like Nadia, who weaves in honour of her fallen son.
Boris’s unwavering commitment remains a testament to the quiet endurance surrounding Kharkiv.
